Linked here, just a zip file full of PDFs. If I missed any let me know, I used some tools to grab them and rename automatically.

This link will work for a week.

The following tracks are listed on the page but the link is broken or goes to the wrong place so they aren't included. I didn't check the others but the link matches the name at least:

BTP, FP, GG, HOU

I'm only answering what you ask. I wouldn't go this route personally, but if that is what you want there you go.

you can lead them to water, but not make them drink.
am amazed at his questions.

I know how to do what cj said, but all I was asking was how it works to make the figure go over 100? Thank you as I am asking good questions then...

I guess if a horse earns the 3 year best time he would get over a 100 until they reset the best 3yo times, at which point it would revert to a 100.

i gave you the answer to that way back in thread.
maybe not in straight words, but it's obvious you just glanced at and took nothing from it.
you want to do time, then fine, but maybe you need to read AND absorb.

Ok sounds good Cj. Just wanted to clarify on that situation. Sorry for all the dumb questions I was asking. I have something now!

Well sorry not everyone's teaching's are going to make sense to me. Not saying it was not going to work, just wanted it simple and easy to get started on the right track.

THANK YOU!

Big help.

That link you gave me is the one I use, but it no longer initiates the pop-up, FF or Chrome. My guess is because thet are old version on XP. Lonnie has been helping me, but so far, no luck. He IS good!

Gotta bite the bullet and get my W10 laptop set up and running.

Maybe he can get those other links fixed for you and then I can grab those too!

This is a very interesting thread, so thank you for all the input in it so far. I am more curious what the fastest times were for the 4F mark at these respective tracks?

6 furlong 3 year best time at whatever track is 1:12.4 = 100. Five 6 furlong races for the day at said track. 1st race goes in 1:15.1, 2nd in 1:13.0, 3rd in 1:14.1, 4th in 1:13.4, 5th in 1:14.4

Race 1 is 88
Race 2 is 99
Race 3 is 93
Race 4 is 95
Race 5 is 90

Next add all races to find the track variant.

Race 1 is 12
Race 2 is 1
Race 3 is 7
Race 4 is 5
Race 5 is 10

The total is 35. Divide the 35 by 5 and the track variant is 7 if those were the only sprint races on the card. If you wanted to add the track variant to the speed rating so be it.

don't know how you got those numbers for the raw speeds, but would argue they are a long way wrong.

main point of reply though, is you variant calc., it is only correct if all the races were of same class standard and your expectation was 100 for each.

what would happen if they were 5 maiden races, and was not expecting 100 to begin with?
alternatively, what if all high grade stake races, where might expect faster than standard?

I laid out the way the DRF TV and Speed rating are Calculated. They do one for sprints and one for routes. Class of the races is not considered. This is for the speed rating and TV only so I don't know what your talking about.

I was going to call you out on stating with a base 100 and minus 1 point for each 1/5th slower than 3 Year best time. I tried practicing with what CJ taught me and some numbers do not work?

DRF is demonstrably wrong then.
My previous post should demonstrate why wrong.
Anybody that knows anything about time, will have expectation in one form or another, or how could they get a reasonable TV?
