most of it was about the cop going off like barney fife, brian dennehy in Rambo, or the guy in meet the fockers. only a couple extremists questioned the cause of death.
other than that when the law books and drivers manuals came out the thread started to become kind of (dare we say it?) bland.

I'm open to suicide or murder depending on the evidence, though the former seems far more likely. I'm open to the latter because she didn't appear suicidal in her voicemails from jail, and isn't it a rule that you don't have items in there for someone to use to commit suicide, particularly one who was noted on her papers as having attempted it in the past year?
But why are we dependent on an autopsy? Are jail cells really not monitored by video today, with as cheap as they are?

sure about that. Cappy starts out the day by stating quite categorically that she was murdered. So what happens? A coroner obviously in on the murder conspires to falsely claim that she most likely died of suicide. When will this vast conspiracy end?

Why do jail cells need video? What do you believe the cost/benefit ratio is on that? Besides, what about privacy rights?

Other than the autopsy, which surprised no one except Hcap , there hasn't been much in the way of new revelations.
IMO, when all is said and done, this case will have more far reaching effects than any of the previous ones of this kind.

It's jail. When people are legally confined they lose privacy rights.
I'd like to know more about this woman's job offer. On the video it's MF this and that. Not at all like her sister at the press conference.

Look at Michael Brown. There was a video of him robbing a store and assaulting the clerk.
Here, we have woman pulled over for a BS violation and subsequently antagonized by a manlet cop with an obvious Napoleon complex.
See the difference?

Not all of their rights. They lose their 4th Amendment rights to search and seizures, but retain their rights to privacy, especially in the shower/toilet area. Video in cells likely violates their rights. Besides, no one has explained what public interest benefit would override such a huge cost, or are we playing with Monopoly money here?

Perhaps her ulterior motive was to reek havoc in the country by hanging herself. Die with a purpose. A sort of payback if you will for enduring whatever was ailing her mentally. It's worked to some degree. Most are looking to place the blame on everyone but her.

Well, let's see...how about there being no question whether she committed suicide or was murdered? Not having to rely on "he said she said" when jails can be be volatile places, with legal charges pending, and it helps with the citizenry to be able to prove a prisoner wasn't abused? Need more?
I guess the cost isn't that big of a deal given there are cameras already in some jails. Go search. You'll also find that it turns out there is a video of this woman in jail. I haven't looked at it yet so don't know what it shows.
