In response to a report that he had been involved in a prostitution ring, Gov. Eliot Spitzer issued a statement Monday, apologizing to his family and state residents and saying he had not lived up to the high standards he had set for himself.

I just heard former Senator Alfonse Demato say that he has been told that the Governor has already resigned............. Amazing.......... once again the power of the poon brings down a politician

Spitzer was the reason several of the top strip clubs in NY got hit with major lawsuits while he was the Attorney general. I guess that was where the girls he had his way with worked at night!!! See you later Gov maybe you can get Corzine to run both states

I dont understand how these political wifes stand by their men at these press conferences. The only way my wife would stand there with that level of humilation would be if she had a glock pointed at my temple!

Maybe IF your wife lived in a mansion, had a 7/24 limo, a tax payer supported life-style-of the rich and famous, celebrity-status...she'd turn a blind eye like every other political wife whose political hubby was caught doing the "bad thing"
