Sha Tin - Live Thread - Sat Night/Sun PM - 4/26
Another fine card from steamy Sha Tin. QEII Cup later on the card.
Not sure how long I'll play tonight, as I'm on a road trip in FLA, and it's a 1:00 AM start, but we'll see how it goes.
Race 1: Class 5, 2000 meters (1 1/4 miles) on the turf
Tough start with unknown track bias. Track does some to be playing very fair so far this season.
Small longshot double-key in the omni - with
Small each way play on the dog. The looks great in the paddock, but is no bargain at the price.
Good luck tonight!

Race 2: Class 4, 1400 meters (7 furlongs) on the turf
Taking the , hoping he behaves better this time at the gate. Saver Qs and QPs with .
After two weekends away, Moreira back to suppress the odds on his rides. Hugh Bowman and Craig Williams in town from Down Under for the feature and some other rides.
Kudos to the simulcasting engineers tonight - the audio started off with the mix of Chinese and English audio, but was promptly fixed.....

Race 3: Class 4, 1600 meters, (1 mile) on the turf
Taking with small win bet, larger place bet - though one of the analysts said he's acting up now on the way to the gate. didn't mean to slight Tommy Berry, who's also in town from Down Under, and takes over for Zach Purton who is off his mounts today. Tote says tilt.

Delay in Race 3 - the favorite Motif reared in the gate, and is now a late scratch. When he being vetted, the horse was looking down and didn't appear to be well. Nice to see the track downing what's best for the horses. The , Born to Win is also now a late scratch....

Half the card in the books, and only a small QP cashed. Time to turn it around.

Chalk broke slow along with the , but took the inside path and wore them down. The came wide, couldn't make up enough ground. Speed doing okay for the most part tonight.
