87% Do NOT TRUST the CHRB to conduct a serious review of Scratch Debacle

Chuck Simon always has the right take on these things.

i predict they will pay better as well as staff an additional expert steward on big days, and that they will take time to consult with the experts as well as the vets and owners, before making any decisions whatsoever...

Also predict that they will now start the first post at 2:00pm PST/1100AMEST to allow for proper decision making.

YEA RIGHT

they do not give a fk.

They can tighten up the scratch procedures and communication all they want but it still won't make mistakes 100% preventable. The real issue here is that they have no intention of changing rules that transfer liability for said mistakes over to the bettors.

CHRB won't even acknowledge that there was a problem for the bettors in the first place. CHRB Executive Director Scott Chaney won't "go so far" as to admit that bettors were treated unfairly.

Exactly, deelo.

For those of you who already think multi-race sequences are too difficult...remember this.

I remember when I first started taking interest in Thoroughbred Racing (1982) how many of the old-timers were saying that all of these "gimmick" bets would ruin Racing. I doubt they were thinking about an angle such as this...but it is amazing, nonetheless.
