Annoying sayings and noises people make at the track during races.

Every track has them. Like the big bald Guy at raynham that stands in front of the simulcasts TV and screams 10 times during every race, "COME FROM THE CLOUDS!" Does he really need to say it every race at every 1/ 4pole? Or the classy Guy with the cowboy hat that says "run you pig" every race. ALSO notice more and more people making the kissing sound when the wire is coming. Any have any good stories about the characters at your track?

The one that gets me is when someone keeps shouting, "One time!"

Don't they know that yelling "One time!" implies that they lose all of the other times?

I've got a lady at my track that loudly complains "she would have had that one, but got shut out" all the time. Annoying.

My favorite is the guy who is yelling as they are heading into the lane
"COME ON WITH THAT SEVEN!"
"KEEP HER MOVING, GET HER UP GET HER UP! "

Meanwhile the seven isn't even in the screen and it's the 8 he's yelling at.

The look on his face when he realizes what happened is usually priceless.

Back in the late 80's there was a guy who looked like the trainer Bob Klesaris.
He'd place a wager and stand by me before the race in front of the monitor.

When the gate sprung open after each race, he'd walk briskly around the monitor in a complete circle. Over and over again until the race was finished. This prevented him from watching the race pf course.
The superstition? The tension? He simply couldn't handle it.

Then there's this short guy from that same late 80's era of The Meadowlands who still attends on the weekends. During the race (usually Harness) he mimics the trotter or pacer by jumping up and down in front of the monitor.

Legs left - right. left right.
If you watch his face and his eyes during the race you can tell he's in such glee.

I don't get to go to a track very often, but, inevitably there is a guy that always is yelling for the lead horse to "die" so that his horse can win. I hate that.

Imagine you are a West Indian and you are saying the word "cloth". It would sound like "clot", and what they are actually saying is "blood cloth" which, as a previous poster pointed out, is a very nasty thing to say...use your imagination.

Back to the topic.
A lady at the OTB I used to frequent would stand directly under the TV set and begin rooting as soon as the gates opened;
"Come on wit dis hoss boy" all the while snapping her fingers at the hip. This went on the entire race and you never knew which horse she was rooting for. She either won with no emotion or she never won at all, as that was all she ever said.
