How to clean an email list

So for years I worked for myself brokering equipment lease transactions. I got tired of it and gave my "lead" list to an old friend that was still in the business. He retired and I am getting too old to do what I am doing, so he gave me his combined list.

Now I looked it over and it is an old list. There are many hotmail type of emails for business. I sent a bunch of emails and many came back.

Is there someplace I can "clean" this list of old email addresses?

Thanks
Bob

Your list is in what format: Word? Text? Outlook? Gmail?

It's on ACT. I have to confess I am older as you may already be aware, and I can only use a few things on act. I know there is a mailing system but I just can't figure it out.

Sorry Bob. I don't know anything about ACT!. I did find this post on the interwebz; maybe the information will help you.

Batch delete contacts

From what I have read there is a Contact List view which allows you to delete the contacts individually if that's easier.
