Why can't every Journalist in the country sue to be in the White House? Then what's the Judge gonna do?

He just lost.

I'm sure they will try and "get" Acosta violating a new rule but this is over.

Not temporary.

He's back until they get him breaking one of the new rules or procedures... per Sanders:

"We will also further develop rules and processes to ensure fair and orderly press conferences in the future. There must be decorum at the White House."

Selective editing.

He has to be shown due process before he can be removed. CNN got a restraining order on the White House under the 5th Amendment.

The judge punted on the First Amendment but stated it's likely the WH would lose.

It's over unless the White House wants to continue litigating it and force a decision. CNN is the Plaintiff.

And per Sarah's quote from above... it seems they're finished too.

The order is temporary. The Daily Mail had it right.
Besides, can you imagine the consequences if the judge had said a reporter's pass was permanent? ??

The D.C. Circuit Court ruled on this in a previous case. See Post #121 in this thread. From the order:

Quote:
Given these important first amendment rights implicated by refusal to grant White House press passes to bona fide Washington journalists, such refusal must be based on a compelling governmental interest.
