Thanks very much Mike. I appreciate your help.

(I realize now the stupid error I was making.)

Unfortunately I can't handicap a race with it yet as I keep getting runtime errors "-3363 is outside of collection bounds" or "copy beyond end of file".

Is there a user's manual or troubleshooting guide I can get for this software?

Also, I'm trying to use a brisnet PP data file (single)...is that the correct type and/or best type for this software?

Thanks in advance.

i am getting the same error message as to can not find the path

I did make the folders and placed the two files (analyst, and scales) into the handifiles folder. I placed the handifast program v11 into the handifast folder and extracted all inside the folder. When I try and run it the error message comes up that can not find the path.

Is there anyway the program can be released as one file to open ect like the original without having to do all these extra steps that don't seem to work for several of us. I am sure its user error as some of you that are computer knowledgeable seem to not have a problem but there are those of us oldtimers that are not computer savy.

Thanks for your help Chuck

Hello Mike, I have deleted everything as I could not get it to work. I will try again on Saturday and see if I can get it to work but I don't remember putting both files into both folders.
I am using windows ten however the old handifast program works fine so I am sure its me and not the program.

Thanks for your time Sir

Hello Mike,
I am still not having any luck running the program.

I will list the process I followed today.

1) I placed three new folders on my desktop.
Named one Handifast, one Handisearch, and the third Temphandi.

2) I placed the Handifast V11.0 inside the Handifast folder and extracted all into that folder.

3) Inside the Handisearch and Temphandi folders, I placed the 2files Ver 10 inside both.

4)When I clicked on Handifast ver 11 to run the program I get the same error message =Runtime error: OS error: the system cannot find the path specified. See error log for information.

5)Checked the error message log but that’s a pretty long list not sure what there could help in identifying the problem.

Thank you for your assistance

What is the reason for this program not having a simple setup?

Sorry Mike I typed out what is listed on the folders, I hope this helps you. If not I guess we will forget trying to load it.

Handifast Folder: a total of 12 items listed
Has a zipped file – HandifastV11.0 (1) and a non zipped folder with the same name.
When I click on the non zipped folder it has – Error listed first. Then HandifastV11.0(1) it has a torch icon. Then a note pad with same name. Then in order is - isfile32dll, vbas31w.sll, vgui31w.sll, voflr31w.sll, vthk31w.sll, vtk1631w.dll, vtk3231w.dll, vvm31w.dll, vvmt31w.dll

Handisearch folder: has two items –analyst note pad and scales
Handifiles folder: has two items - analyst note pad and scales.

Thanks for your time, Chuck

HandiFast Download - Invalid Zip Folder

I used to have HandiFast on my computer but later removed it. Now I cannot seem to get it from the same link.

I'm trying to download HandiFast, which I've done previously, but even though I'm trying to get it from the same link as before on page 67, the 1.3 mb zip file I receive causes my computer to say the zip file is empty and invalid even though the properties indicate 1.3 mb.

Is there an alternate download link for the lastest version of HandiFast?

Lack of Coffee

Ok I see now that the page 67 download is HandiSearch so I've just downloaded HandiFast from page 66. I'm blaming lack of coffee for that goofy mistake.

HandiFast - Error Messages/Save Analysts

Can't seen to get HandiFast to work.

I have the three folders on my C drive: HANDIFAST HANDIFILES TEMPHANDI and I put the "two files" into HANDIFILES and TEMPHANDI and I've got HandiFast version 10.5 in the HANDIFAST folder.

When I try to handicap a race, as soon as I choose an analyst to use for that race I get the following two error messages: see attachment

Also I cannot seem to save more than two analysts. If I try to save a third then only the two most recently created analysts are shown.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
