They did, and the boards were gone by Sunday.

I heard last year that Mth tried to lease the TB Downs board, but the Sports Authority nixed the cost of dismantling and transporting the board up from Tampa. Something like $100k. Unbelievable. That's what I mean about being able to make business decisions.

And while they're about it, can't they raise the bottom of the tote another foot or two so that its bottom line can be read by fans sitting in the front row of the apron ... or at least by folks standing at the rail? I hoped that cheap improvement would be part of the $30 mil they allegedly spent for the BC. Still hoping, and still looking for about $28 mil of improvements.

$30 million- what a joke. 90% of the people there see the same thing they saw in 1979.

A "prominent teller" told me today at a local racing-oriented establishment that the video board was a done deal.

I'll believe it on May 9.
