McConnell will step down
After calls from Don Trump Jr. for Mitch McConnell to step down because his father does not think that he can work with him. The Senate Republican leader will step down from that position in November.

McConnell gets swept away by rising Trump tide
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-Ky.) decision to step down from his leadership role, announced Wednesday, was both shocking and unsurprising.

The days of people in govt knowing when to hang it up is a quaint idea. There is obviously too much money and power for these folks to give up. Govt service used to be tied to service and honor. Now it's just money and power.
As Mike would say, "this country is dead".

3 names being mentioned, one is Cornyn. Say no to that. He's too old and easily the 2nd most qualified texas senator for leader
Thune and Barrasso would be better than Cornyn

Not even close, My pension begins at the end of the year. He has a good 20 years on me. I come from family who did not smoke and the men all reach 90. So stick that in your web socket and look for another way to appease the anarchist.

Trump's Lock On The GOP Is Complete
One of the former president's biggest antagonists is relinquishing the reins in the Senate, giving Trump total control of the Republican Party.

I cannot believe Cornyn is being considered. I thought he lived in a culvert under the road outside of Waco?
Not exactly high profile or energetic
