Holy shit, good for this peep, who's going at the horse death angle.
I'm taking this number as is....

Using my HTR DB and "projecting" these averages.....using last 3 years

His barn averages 35 horses a year ...since 2000, its 14x35.....490 horses

He averages say 275 races a year ......14x275.....3850

75/3850 = .019

You also need to realize that most of his horses are young , so there's a

greater chance of being undeveloped vs standard older horses and the chance to break down.

If anyone has another big trainer death numbers , please give it so that a

comparison can be made

thx

Everything I have read or seen seems to support what Baffert has said all along? Hasn't it? I think Churchill stepped way over the line extending his suspension.
Churchill Downs is a for profit company. The negative publicity generated by having a horse dq'ed for a drug positive in the world's most well known race is something they have no reason to forgive. Baffert running horses at their track will help their bottom line by ZERO. Plus they have other problems to deal with. It's their track they can decide who's welcome and who's not.

certainly at least mr swift seems to be making a lot of wrong moves and your opinion's so strong that i almost have to be "wrong" but i still get this heavy col slade (scent of a woman) feeling about the case?

maybe i'm just too biased towards the side that butters mr baffert's bread or just have too much sympathy for mr swift's precipitous fall from grace? betting hundreds and thousands of dollars a race, racing horses at monmouth, traveling to america's biggest races and meets, posing with important people like repole, serling, portnoy, stronach, jockeys.... to "not having any money." maybe i should be glad he's back on the bottom of the bucket like most normal gamblers outside of this site?

I don't even know who he is, what he looks like, or what his former history is.

I don't even read his twitter feed (I don't read anyone's twitter feed in horse racing, really)

But, I hear things...and I what I hear doesn't make me a fan at all.

It's not the actual Swifthitter....it's just a fan of his. Or so he told us a while ago ( and I believe him ).

Well that's a disturbing development - there's more than one?!

I follow SwiftHitter's Twitter feed - I have no problem with him being a "citizen journalist", so to speak, and this industry is ripe for that type of involvement given its insular nature. But the "Baffert video" part has seemed like some sort of live action role play, a desire for clicks as an "influencer", or an impressive trolling effort to me. As I said upthread, it's all fun and games until your rich, angry target takes legal action. Then you're in a completely different world.

It almost detracts from the death list posted above. The "Swifts" aren't wrong about that part.

Horse racing has a death wish. It's turning itself into the Jerry Springer Show.

That’s what people can’t seem to get . Proof? That sample was tested more than once . That’s why the judges keep hammering the appeals . Besides that , you got a positive in the freaking Kentucky Derby ! Help their bottom line???? You just possibly hurt their bottom line . Churchill can’t afford to have that Derby tarnished . With the prior history Baffert had . It’s a no brainer , they almost had to spank him hard . I wouldn’t be surprised if they extend it again . Why do people think these tracks try to hide the positives ? For the fun of it ? You are exactly right . They don’t want Bob Baffert and the Kentucky Derby said in the same sentence yet .

Somehow others think these positive tests are s good thing . And it’s not just Baffert. The Cronyism of covering for some of these guys is why the feds are up their ass. People walk around with “blinkers on “ . See no evil , hear no evil..,,, or make a dumb excuse . Clock has done run out on that crap
Imagine this headline: “Baffert gets another positive at Churchill. “ That’s why he’s out !
Then the whole Derby history gets dragged up again . Are people this dumb not to get this ?
