Yes, the parking lots of most race places really are ugly. LOL Not sure how you can photo an asphalt parking lot and say the race track is ugly.

Looks pretty okay to me:

Shame poeple can't go there and enjoy it anymore. Seemed like a nice little regional track

I'm happy that Finger Lakes shipper Special Story brought his best game.

I'm happy to see Saratoga races on my TV while I have a few beers and slog through the laundry I've been ignoring all week.

Hey, I don't ask for much.

Were they out there? Didn’t make it today. Jim Beam flu from last night. Recovery effort on couch. Yeah, they are organized and usually wear co ordinated t-shirts.

I understand they care about the horses but these horses would never be born without racing. They kind of act like the horses are captured on the open prairie and rounded up to race. Oh well. To each their own. I’ve walked by them before and listened. Real serious but it seems like they don’t have anything better to do.

I looked through his pics and videos looking for them. I thought you mistakenly posted in the wrong thread......

Got it.

Is this just a one-time thing, or do they show up every year?....Has a whiff of paid-shill to it.

I'm seen them at every Breeder's Cup I've ever been to. Very small numbers, and they do a good job of keeping them well away from the patrons that are there for the day.

They’ve been showing up for a few years now. Last year they had different t-shirts. I think they do it a few times a year. Last year I saw them on a week day too. As you can see people just keep walking in. Sometimes walking into the track anywhere can be interesting. I’ll never forget the church folk at the Derby screaming we would all go to hell for gambling, booze and scantily clothed women. I turned to the leader that looked like Jed Clampit from the hills and said,”please come and join the ride.” He wasn’t happy.

It’s America, to each their own, it’s their right to do it. I don’t have to agree .
