Europeans/Foreigners - Confirmed for BC
Anyone have a list of which Europeans have confirmed 100% that they are coming to the Breeders Cup?
Other than Goldikova I have not heard of anyone else who has confirmed 100%
I have heard there is a Japanese horse coming for the Classic. Is this true?

Confirmed 100% is asking a bit this far out but the ones I have heard are all but definite are Midday to defend in the F&M turf and Pathfork for the Juvie.
Possibles include:
Mile: Dick Turpin, Rip Van Winkle (or maybe Classic), Paco Boy, Poet's Voice
F&M Turf: Stacelita, Sarafina
Turf: Workfoce, Arctic Cosmos, Fame and Glory, Redwood, Debussy, Chinchon
Juv Fil Turf: Misty for Me
Espoir City is the Japanese horse you refer to. He's not bad.

You can recognize him by his eyes, that is, unless he's wearing blinkers.

Someone's been looking at way too many PEB drawings and thinking they are funny.

Thanks Al.....I was wondering about Behkabad. Have you heard anything about him?
Looks like Poet's Voice is out of the BC.
Goldophin announced that he is skipping the BC and is going to go in the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes (Group 1) at Newmarket next Saturday.

Just saw the thing about Poet's Voice after I posted. Twice Over going to the same race so he won't be returning.
I would doubt Behkabad would come. I think he was all out for the Arc and his season is likely over. Haven't heard anything though but that's my guess.

Behkabad is due to go to Hong Kong festival I believe.
I don't think Misty For Me will be AOB's rep in Juv Fillies Turf, Together is more likely. Bright Horizon should run in the Marathon.
50/1 Prix l'Abbaye winner Gilt Edge Girl may go for the Turf Sprint.
Gitano Hernando may come over for the Classic.
I have a feeling that Stacelita may not be running in the BC but in another G1 turf race at a separate meeting.

Didn't list Gitano as he is aiming at Champion Stakes as well, though they have left the Classic a possibility, though that sounds doubtful to me.

If they could go to the Classic, I'd think they'd go for the Classic, but apparently he only qualifies for the Marathon at this point. That would be a walk-over imo, but there's not much glory in it.
I think Fame And Glory will definitely come over, the Arc was probably more of a prep (in hindsight).
Dick Turpin is done for the season if I remember correctly.
Pathfork is going into the Juveniles (dirt).
My nap would be Midday. Just a cut above everything else imo.

You're right. I should have given PEB, Dr. Swinesmeller, and his horse Casino Royale some credit for that.

Frankel is running in the Dewhurst or Racing Post Trophy I thought.
Espoir City is the Jpn horse for the Classic, I believe he won the Japan Cup Dirt last year
Red Desire I think is still planning for the FM Turf, will be hoping for some pace and a dry turf this time around.

Frankel is declared to race in a very hot Dewhurst next weekend. There are no plans for him to race at the BC.
I don't agree that the Arc was a prep for Fame and Glory; it's the biggest race in Europe and he came with a winning chance before receiving very bad interference in the home straight. I like his chances at Churchill Downs.

F+G had a light enough campaign up to the Arc so shouldn't be over the top for the BC. Whether he is good enough or suited to the race is another question. Personally I don't think they care where they run him at this stage, if he wins or not it's debatable that he will have a place at Coolmore when he retires.
As far as I know Gitano Hernando would go for the Classic or the Turf if he were to go to the BC with the Classic being more likely.

There was an interesting article in the Racing Post Weekender which explained why this was probably a prep for him. I'm not a fan of F&G personally and I would not be surprised if AOB dropped him in the Classic.
