posting and re-reading the posts are great here, its very easy to go back at some point and read them again.

Wouldn't sending an email to yourself accomplish the same thing?

Thus far, that has been our experience.

Yep.
My greatest concern is that this is the NEW NORMAL and that it is all agenda-based.

But it is above my pay grade.

You're going to see a lot of shift in how companies conduct business.

I think a lot of that will be permanent.

Why am I going to rent a space for a staff when I can just remote basically all of them?

Businesses aren't really seeing a drop off in productivity.

Tip of a very large ice berg.

I'm part of a mastermind group of big-time movers & shakers. Each of these guys are at the top part of 9-figure companies. (I'm the small fry in the group by two magnitudes. I think they keep me around because I ask good questions.)

We have one-on-one meetings and share ideas. Then we search for the trickle down impact.

One thing that came up in a session last month was something kind of surprising.

From looking at Facebook interactions in business groups... we've come to the conclusion that communication is all vertical and almost none is horizontal.

That is, PEOPLE no longer interact with EACH OTHER; only with the GROUP.

The exception to that is posturing-anger-hate posts. Those are very much directed at individuals.

Trying to figure out how to utilize this but have not found a solution. Yet.

That hasn't been my experience in dealing with people working from home.

One company (large corporation) person working from home cut me off from a very important (to the business) sales call because she had to go pick up her son from school mid afternoon. Had she been at the office, that never would have happened. I did complain to the office manager, whom she brazenly transferred my call to, and he said that she was wrong to take such a privilege.

This was only one experience...I've had other negative experiences. A lot of home computers are not set up to handle normal, in-office business transactions. And, the attitude of a lot of these people working from home leave a lot to be desired. ALL of them (in my experience) have claimed to be health-compromised as a reason for HAVING to work from home. Yeah, right!

People working from home is not beneficial to businesses overall, IMO, and even less so for the consumer.

Shouldn't you be telling him how he and his wife's lungs are going to be ripped to shreds and he should expect to be an invalid the rest of his life due to the lung damage he's going to suffer?

That's what you've posted about in the past.

Talk about going back and reading past posts...

Good thing this country doesn't rely on commercial real estate or anything like that...

Yet another major shock to the system that hasn't really been accounted for yet...but something I was talking about from almost day 1 of this thing.

Yeah but ultimately who gives a shit?

I mean, sure the guy in commercial real estate cares but in the long run they were providing a service that isn't increasing value.

This kind of thing happens all the time. Some win and some lose. It's just more noticeable in this case because its buildings.

Ultimately, the market becomes more efficient and efficiency is good.

Yeah, just the guy in commercial real estate....just the guy in construction....just the carpenters...just the electricians....just the building maintenance folks...blah blah blah etc etc etc...

Sure, it only affects the guy selling real estate...

So you're solution is for businesses to keep paying for things they realized they don't need?

I sold my business last fall so you won't find a guy who timed up a major business decision more poorly than me.

The money I would have been making all of 2020 is mind-boggling.

Can't really plan around global pandemics though... shit happens.
