Analyze It

the horse....but in this case...the illustrious trainer...one it's Chad Brown's world...

So the question begits....why is Analyze it running in NY for $200k when can/could have run at Penn for $500k....Mr. Brown has had success at Penn....yet no entries in this race...interesting with the stable he's got...

The competition level is not that big a difference...He would be favored at Penn as well....

This horse is a beast on the lawn.
Great turn of foot.

Brown would run him for $500K if he felt he was ready.
He must think otherwise, and is picking a better spot in the Pennine Ridge.

Plenty of big prizes down the road for this one.
Secretariat at Arlington comes to mind.

The next major prize is the Belmont Derby Invitational, a $1.2 million race at 10 furlongs over the Belmont inner turf course.

The Pennine Ridge is 9 furlongs over the same Belmont inner turf course. The Penn Mile is 8 furlongs at Penn National.

Analyze it has run 3 total starts at 8 furlongs, 8 furlongs, and 8.5 furlongs.

Despite the sizable difference in purse money, ultimately, a 9 furlong prep over the same turf course as a $1.2 million 10 furlong race on the 4th of July weekend is a better fit than a drop back to a flat mile out of town.
