Maybe the number or new cases has dropped in spite of opening up the state. Texas has administered more than 11M doses of the vaccine. Second only to California and five times what Minnesota has administered.

If they had kept common sense restrictions in place, the number of new cases would have been even smaller.

Don’t forget, we’re talking about fewer new cases; not fewer cases in total.
