Someone elsewhere asked why all the states don't use same voting machines.
I explained that each state could buy their own. I'm sure it's based on lowest bidder system, like everything else.
Liek horse racing, every state doing their own thing.
Campaign finance + standarized voting equipment, would go a long way to fixing election process, IMHO. And no gerrymandering.
And other than votes from US citizens who have to be abroad, and the military abroad, and people who are not mobile, ie. cannot drive to a box. I never got the concept of mail in voting.......every town should have those huge ballot boxes, where you can just drive up and drop your ballot. Big tank-like things, put some guards out like they do armoured cars. Put them up for every so many hundred or thousands of people, based on the census and population from the accessor office.
Bring them in like refrigerator trucks at the morgue.
