We should make schools gun free zones.
That should take care of it.

Same as it ever was.....

We all know nothing will change because of this,
or 18 more mass shootings at schools within the
next year. Insanity is constantly repeating mistakes .

The gun lobby owns a big chunk of this country,
and a great number of the politicians governing it.

Twisted logic without factual basis. Who the hell do you think the "gun lobby" is? And how does that "gun lobby" own politicians?

Concerned citizens in this country own the gun lobby, and unite through it to convey their message to politicians. The NRA's power is not based on money, it is based on votes.

I know this conflicts with the liberal dogma, but the "gun lobby" in this country is a grass roots power, based on individuals and their votes, not on corporate interests and their money. American guns owners are a minor factor in the business of international weapons cartels. Please take your conspiracy theories elsewhere. They don't cut the mustard here.

If only there were tough gun laws like in Chicago, there might be a few thousand shot every year...

Wait, more died from gunshot in Chicago last year than ALL the schools in the ENTIRE country - lib logic needs to deal with this.

The NRA donates millions to politicians.
These are the same politicians who will join in a chorus of
"our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims of _______"

You fill in the blank - it could have been Las Vegas, or today's school,
or anywhere else in the future.

Your so called "grass roots" power is f**ked up.
That's a fact.

The modern day NRA exists for one simple reason: to sell guns.

Law abiding people who want to be left alone and allowed to exercise their Constitutional rights are "f**cked up". Thanks for playing.

Do you have any evidence to back that up?

Sorry to be blunt, but this is ignorant. The NRA has 5 million members, all individual citizens. The NRA's political clout is based on votes, not money. The NRA's endorsement is worth a lot more to a lot of candidates in votes than the NRA's money.

Please. You know perfectly well who owns the NRA these days, and it ain't Joe Grassroots.

"Today's NRA is a virtual subsidiary of the gun industry," said Josh Sugarmann, executive director of the Violence Policy Center. "While the NRA portrays itself as protecting the 'freedom' of individual gun owners, it's actually working to protect the freedom of the gun industry to manufacture and sell virtually any weapon or accessory."
