But seriously, TJ...it's a lost cause. There is no way to tell if there are any "honest" political candidates out there...and even if there ARE any "honest" ones, they too get corrupted once they enter the Congressional cesspool. It's like the priesthood. The well-meaning newcomer is set down by the "elders"...and is told that only by "toeing-the-line" can a political career become fruitful in our country today...as well as in the rest of our world. In order for things to change, a real revolution is needed, IMO. But, unfortunately, we can't be bothered right now...because, after all...the football season has just kicked off.

This is absolutely dead right.

For that type of revolution the public needs assault rifles.

Someone who understands the above, should grasp the importance of a disruptor a non-politician being elected into the highest office. A disruptor who has the ability to expose crimes by elected officials.

Quite the contrary...not a single shot need be fired. This would be an ECONOMIC revolution. What do you think would happen if all the disgruntled citizens ever united and refused to pay their income taxes on April the 15th? Would the government release all the murderers and the rapists, so they could imprison all the tax evaders?
If the citizens of this country would ever unite, they have the power to do everything that needs to be done...and the government KNOWS it. That's why the politicians want to keep us divided...and fighting with one-another.

You go first.

If America elects any of the Socialists who are running for the Presidency, there will be an ECONOMIC revolution but it will result in HIGHER TAXES not lower ones!

I believe it was over something like a 4 cent tax on whiskey!
Of course nowadays there is just no representation period.

I always wanted to be a hero...until I found out that the hero's lifespan typically isn't quite as long as I would like mine to be.

Hey, we will put your face on the new THREE DOLLAR BILL as a reward for your service!!
We are also going to put a small Starbucks Coffee on the FIVE DOLLAR BILL, to reflect the real worth of it.

Reality: the IRS would not hide in the closet. You'd be levied fines, interest would accrue. If you owned property, that would essentially become IRS' property after you died.
I have to tell my wife and step "children" this all the time. Rules and laws can change to prevent people from overturning the tax system. If you "don't pay taxes" en masse, believe me, the system will adjust to ensure they get what's coming to them
As TJ said, "you first" . I'll watch and see

That strategy didn't work for the founding Fathers and it will not work now.
