The link above is for a short, but true story written by a high school classmate of my older brother, Chip Mosher -- now a high school history teacher in Las Vegas. The quote is from the story.
The story takes place in my home town of Salem, Ohio. It was written because of the 50th anniversary of JFK's assassination.
JFK spoke at the local stadium in Salem in 1960. It was a controversial night because the town folk and people in the surrounding communities are primarily republicans.
My parents went to the JFK speech and I remember on a few occasions hearing them talk about attending the speech.
Funny thing is... neither of my parents were democrats. I guess people just went to hear JFK speak because he was well-known.
Billy was a classmate of the author and my brother. My father knew Billy's father.
The story might help to shed some light on why murder/suicides happen.
