We're saying it won't matter if her opponent makes the same mistake or not. She wins easy.
Why else would you make that statement unless you were implying the opponent has a chance?

The voting will be done in a beer hall, no doubt.

It simply means, he will not act like Crowley acted and will treat her as the person to beat.
Did you read my post to Ocala Mike? You are talking oranges to apples.
So we can agree I never said that this specific election would be competitive or that she would lose if the DNC and dem leadership at the national and local level withheld resources or anything like it, except in your imagination.

Her win is an indication that the Dem party may be split with a socialist candidate running for President. Or they may have to go so far crazy left that they can't win in 2020 anyway. Future not to bright for the democratic party IMO

It wasn't mentioned on here nor in the popular media outlets but only 5 per cent of registered Democrat voters actually voted in the primary. 5 per cent!

Extremely impressive. And she won.

If her backstory is true, then yes, it's impressive. If her backstory is something else, well....

Being from Westchester County is just a wee bit different than growing up in the Bronx. However, that zerohedge article does not have any links to support the facts, so we'll see. But her "shocking" victory has all the earmarks of one insider being traded for another. I certainly won't argue her socialist leanings are not good for the future of the country.
What's the over/under on how long it takes Ms. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to be reeling in a 7 digit income like Bernie Sanders?
More importantly, can someone please tell us how all the programs she's supporting get paid for?

I think that will be correct though in the long run, if the demographic juggernaut is not stopped, leftism at its most virulent will hold sway. With open borders it is inevitable that the politics will resemble that of the UN General Assembly.
Ms. Ocasio's district is in a very immigrant heavy location.

Thanks for posting that. Yorktown Heights lol. Not exactly the hood, in fact look at the demographics:
As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 7,972 people, 2,629 households, and 2,163 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,399.3/mi² (540.0/km²). There were 2,661 housing units at an average density of 467.1/mi² (180.2/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 90.49% White, 2.41% African American, 0.06% Native American, 4.69% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.85% from other races, and 1.48% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.59% of the population.

What a typical fake, phony left wing fraud.

You're right! The Dems can't have someone that brash, attractive and outspoken stealing their thunder. Can't have anyone revealing the true mindset of Dimwits. Because she is before her time, she will go the way of Crazy Bernie.

Since this story hit, I've been talking with NY area people familiar with the story of AOC. There does appear to be confusion over this -- she is from Parkchester, a neighborhood in the North Bronx. But for HS, she commuted to Yorktown Heights, as part of a special program for for gifted science students. I've had friends who lived in the neighborhood, which could be described as mixed income -- blue collar/middle class. Her district appears somewhat unusual, in that part of it falls in the Bronx and part in Queens, which latter has the largest and most diverse per capita group of immigrants in the country. One can easily see how present conditions might have galvanized her campaign. BTW, isn't PA from Queens? -- could be she's his next rep in Congress.

This gal learns fast...but will she be able to fool many people? Here's an excerpt from an interview with our new, up and coming commie-light by Chuck Todd. Gotta love what the MM will let socialist pigs get away with:
“Let me talk about some of your policy positions but generally. First, explain this to me. You were endorsed by a group, the Democratic Socialists,” Todd prefaced in the middle of the interview. “What is your definition of democratic socialist?” He also boasted to her about how The New York Times had a headline touting millennials turning to socialism.
As what often happens when a Democrat is asked to define socialism in non-scary and untruthful terms, she stumbled out of the gate:
Well, for me, again, and – and – there’s so much focus on this endorsement, but I also think it's important -- an important part of my strategy in winning was building a broad-based coalition of people. So while there is a focus on this one aspect of the coalition, and to me, you know, to answer your question, the definition of democratic socialism, to me, again, is the fact that in a modern, moral, and wealthy society, no American should be too poor to live.

Naturally, her solution to that is to rob Peter to pay Paul.
