I don't remember what Mullins' exact quote was, but I remember basically that his point wasn't whether bettors were smart or stupid, but rather that whatever they may think about anything is of zero consequence or concern of his, or anybody else, on the backstretch. He may have called us all stupid (which is kind of emphasized by the fact that bettors is spelled bett"e"rs by as many bett"o"rs as not), but I kind of remember his point being, regardless of the over all IQ of the lot of us, that what we thought or said was really of no consideration to anybody that puts the game on.

Serious pet peaves of mine.

1) mis-spelling bettors

2) "I should have not wasted my time with this post." It's not, "I should of not wasted my time with this post."

MULLINS

To quote Simers' column: "The problem, Mullins said, 'are all the addicts and idiots crying because they lost a $2 bet,' and then demanding a level playing field. 'It will never be a level playing field. There are a lot of things people don't know, and won't know'."

"If you bet on horses, I would call you an idiot," Mullins also told The Times. "I don't bet; there's a reason they call it gambling. I train to win and that's all I care about. It's not my problem (if the general public is deceived). They ought to bring in slot machines, then we could run our horses and make a living without worrying about some crybaby calling the stewards and raising a fit."

You probably missed this, but that alone was worth $70.
Probably more.

It's taking everything I have not to point out that you spelled "peeves" incorrectly while saying that spelling errors are one of your pet peeves.

Nope, I failed.

I'm going to say no, mostly because I was afraid I wouldn't spell it right myself so I didn't use it.

On a side note, my unwillingness to do three seconds of research to find the correct spelling may show why I don't win consistently at the track.

Hahaha...I hear you. Without the invention of Spellcheck I'd be working the drive thru at Whataburger. I'd be the assistant to the Assistant Manager by now.

Likely you would be the assistant manager. You’re previous boss would have retired by now.

I don't have a problem with mis-spelling peeves.

Edit: Or misspelling

Anyhow, I didn't know I was in the presence of a pro, so I must defer to anything you might think.
Why pay $25 for computer generated figures when you can buy the same crap for only $1 from BRIS.
And now you,know.

Yeah I needed T.L.G to tell me that.
Try to even question any of T.LGs comments and you’ll find our if he is protected or not.

Is cluelessness a hallmark?

The term computerized does not imply computer generated and you should know that.

Trolling alert.
