Bel Race 5 - Winner jumps gate
The winner clearly comes through the gate just before the rest open.
This one's got to come down.
Taking a long time to look at it - pretty obvious.

Yea, made the right decision, not only that pulled a Bayern as well wiping out several others.

But, if he hadnt broken through the gate do they take him down for taking out half the field at the start?

Has the rule in New York been changed?

Link to a thread from 2012 about an incident where -- by rule -- a horse that broke through the gate just prior to the start was DQ'd by the stewards:
