Disappointing to see Lady Aurelia decline in form. I wonder if they go on with her.

6/20 Ascot selections

1430—Queen Mary s.-16 Servalan—-huge run in Ireland. This good?

1505—Queens Vase—-9 Sourthern France—unexposed type should have the goods

1540–duke of Cambridge—3 aljazzi—-nice prep for the race; second last year

1620–prince of wales—2 cracksman—bookies nightmare

1700–royal hunt cup—-5 master merlon—always runs well. Properly weighted?

1735–jersey s.—12 Lake Volta—nicely prepped for this run.

1-2-3

Aidan O'Brien trains the first three home in the Queen's Vase.
It's taken eight races for him to get off the mark, but it won't
be his last winner of the meet, I'm sure.

Nice pick by the blonde on TVG who does the Aussie racing. Was all over the #21, and she got 24/1 for her pocketbook.

6/21 Ascot Selections

1430--Norfolk S.---5 Land Force--OBrien strikes again

1505--Hampton Court S.---9 National Army---The sky is the limit for this son of Dubawi

1540--Ribblesdale S.---1 Wild illusion--G1 winner been a bit disappointing this term looks to get back on track with drop in class.

1620--Gold Cup---two hoss race. Box 2 Order of St George and 9 Stradivarius
in Exacta. Very difficult to choose between the two. Head and withers above the rest here

1700--Britannia S.---5 First Contact--Bumping up to 8F for his acid test.

1735--King George V S.---12 Bagdad--Has come to hand nicely for Johnson; Up in weight. One of the few with a win at the distance.

Well done America as Shang Shang Shang wins the first. Good to see an International winner here. I'm going to have a small bet in the Gold Cup. I personally don't think it's a shoe in for Stradivarius or Order of St George and think there could be another international winner in Vazirabad. Had an each way bet (that's two bets, a win bet at full odds and a win,2nd and 3rd place at 1/5th odds). Got 11/2 so even a 2nd or 3rd will get me my money back with a very small profit and a win will be a bonus.
