Pulled out and dusted off this old program...

Having issues loading result files....

Says "invalid file type" ....."253"

Solution?

Just a guess but are you using results files that are not from Bris (e.g. from Jcapper)?

Correct.....I'm guessing I have to live with it...

It does ask if you still want to load them ......seems Ok though

Thx Brian...

I think the discrepancy is in the way Bris and Jcapper format the file structure from fields 123-254. Jcapper files create those as empty fields; I am not sure what Bris does as the file appears to end at field 122. I haven't looked at the structure in a while, but I imagine it wouldn't be difficult to "fix" the results files for Equisim. Maybe using a csv editor with a batch process capability?

So the files in question are .csv format?

If you are running a recent version of JCapper, you might try bringing up the Enhanced Settings Module, temporarily changing the XRD File Build Mode setting to option 1, building XRD files, and restoring the setting back to option 0 needed for JCapper DBBuild routines.

Full disclosure:

I added the new option for users who are running third party apps and spreadsheets based on the 127 columns per horse schema in their Brisnet result files. (Also, the old pre 2009 .xrd files in my archive have 127 columns per horse.)

I have not personally tested this in Equisim (don't have/never had a copy of Nathan's program.) But it might be worth a try before giving up.

Files are comma delimited text (without a header row.)

File extension is .txt (instead of .csv)

They are comma-delimited files without the .csv extension.
