Small, intimate gathering this year....
It's her birthday that day, and my plan was a nice evening after the track, she simply does not get it

I guess the 3rd annual at AP isn't happening. Too bad.

Well, not an official gala as in prior years. But....I think a couple of folks were interested.

I will be at AP Saturday (along with Ikeika). If others will be there we can be sure to hook up somewhere inside.

Post here if you will be at AP on Saturday!

I'm still at 60 percent probability on attending. It actually looks good, and will know by Tuesday night if I can attend. Sorry my schedule is so dynamic. It's been a tough year travel-wise. I may have an issue last minute, but we'll see.

I'll PM on the final plans Tuesday night.

All -
Any preference on where we sit (inside)? Ikeika and I can get there a bit early and gets seats etc.

If you PM me your cell phone I can call/text on Sat as well.

Stuball -
No free admission this year (with just a few of us, I didn't ping the track)...but I expect you'll win that back.

See you Saturday.

Anyone feel motivated to provide a recounting of the day's festivities; who was there? where did you sit? any strange-make that new-faces, did you all go for dinner afterwards? And who is Ikeika? Or did JD just misspell the name of the Swedish home furnishings store?

I am sorry that I missed the event this year, but I had already purchased tickets for and made plans to attend another event that day. I did have a very good time at that other event, still I missed seeing you guys.

I'll leave this to JD.

Howdy Hi,

This is Ikeika. I'm Hawaiian and the first person in my family to speak English, not Hawaiian (or Swedish), as my native tongue.

The four of us, Capper Al, Stuball, jdhanover, and I went upstairs and sat where they have individual desks with moniters. Stuball had to leave early and the three of us played a little the rest of the afternoon. Afterwards we went to Dick Butkus' restaurant down the street for dinner. For me, it was fun meeting some new faces.

Actually Mike Ditka's at Trackside...but same idea as they were both Bears.

Good time Saturday - Sunday not as much... we watched my horse (I own a small %) finish dead last. I think she needs to go to the farm for 2 months and remember how to be a horse.
