Unless this message board is your life, you shouldn't be quaking in anything.

As for your other garbage, it's just that...garbage.

My record shows I treat all arrogant assholes equally.

But I will say this- if Maryland law really does prohibit a track owner from imposing a doping restriction on its races beyond whatever the state prohibits, Maryland law is asinine and PETA ought to take this and run with it.

(And if I were Stronach, I would retaliate by moving the Preakness to Gulfstream or Santa Anita. That would cause Maryland horsemen and state officials to fold in an instant.)

Couldn't they just write the 2yo races similar to what they did with the Pegasus races this year, where horses with no lasix got a substantial break in weights? If they made the discrepancy in weights fairly ridiculous, wouldn't that essentially get their lasix-free races run while being within state guidelines?

Good point. Run on lasix and carry 140.

Or "Maidens with Lasix and nonwinners of 3 without"

Agree, might be a small step, but in the right direction.

‘Maybe It’s A Good Thing’: Derby Trainers Unconcerned About This Year’s Lasix Rules

“I think with this particular crop, for my cohort, it's not been an issue,” said Hall of Fame nominee Todd Pletcher. “I can't speak for everyone else, but I think some of the bigger concerns are around older horses that maybe have been running on Lasix for three, four, five years and then have to come off with it. But bleeding can be an issue for horses, with or without Lasix.”
