How about Defeater?
Solid colt put in a nice performance on Sat 2/13 at FG in his first try at a route distance.
Won his debut sprinting on Jan2 in professional stalk and pounce style.
On Sat he broke terribly (last) and made a big wide move on the far turn, came storming down the lane to just miss by a half length. IMO he wins that race if not for the slow break/wide far turn trip, or if that race were a 1/16th longer.
Dude was rolling.
His pace & speed figs from both races were decent, but nothing great. His pedigree doesn't scream "10f" either. He needs to move forward quite a bit to contend with the best 3yr olds, but he's a colt on the rise that bears some watching. Don't be surprised if Amoss runs him in the LaDerby in March.
