BUSH IS MAKING A FOOL OF THE REPUBLICANS

As a registered republican, and a person who voted for Regan, Nixion and Bush's father, I will say that is just terrible that the Republicans can do no better then Bush!!

No better

It is about the party platform and putting up a candidate the undecides mat for for- Bushj and Gore (and Kerry) would keep the elitist-big business agenda of the USA and not get too whacko either way on the social issues.
That is why the media brainwashes most people into voting against anti-war and too liberal on economic issues candidates.
McCain's fair election stuff is not what either side really wants- that is why all the 527 loopholes and why McCain lost.

You want them to put up someone other than the sitting President?

He'll win with or without your vote.

Gore is d-o-n-e. (Did you vote for him?)

Formula, it's a very simple choice, make it.

In an age when global trends and events impact our daily lives, both major parties have latched onto the politically effective strategy of running state governors for the presidency: Carter, Reagan, Clinton, and G. W. Bush.

As a campaign strategy this makes sense... few governors are burdened with a track record of debating and deciding the evolution of our policies on global issues in an age of sweeping change.

Unfortunately, the limited scope of a gubernatorial resume is a political asset, given the perverse way campaigns are conducted today... and one of these days we are liable to elect a real bonehead who cannot manage circumstances characterized by change.

Joe, I sent John Ashcroft a copy of your post.

He sent me a email back and said for you not to worry because you won't be a registered republican much longer.

Not sure what that means but I'm so sorry you feel that way about our President.

If you care to post the reasons your heart has turned black, I'd be glad to see them.

The only Presidental vote of mine that was not a winner was GORE and Bush's father ( second time around. )

I hope that's the end of it 'cause Kerry gets my vote.

Watching Bush stammer through a positive spin on his own administrations report that there hasn't been WMDs in Iraq for 10 years was classic non-speak. He has entered Orwellian territory.

Hard to beleve intelligent people of whatever political bent accept such drivel from their leaders.

It would be amusing, if there wasn't such depressing news, almost every day now, in this "safer world" his policies have created.

Far from it, as far as history goes. Maybe you ought to hit the books more than you hit the Hamptons. Luckily for you, it's getting colder out, so you can curl up in your Manhattan abode with a good history book this winter and educate yourself.

When there is no viable alternative, it's very much in the realm of believability. Who else am I going to vote for??? NADER??? KERRY??? Not in this lifetime.
