I *think* those are for a dollar. Xpressbet is telling me exactly twice that much for each of those.

Here are my simple and humble opinions on these DD payoffs vis-à-vis what I consider the horse's chances of winning the Classic. I have no opinion either way nor vested in those not in bold. I am alive with a few horses.

Horses/payoffs that are underlays, in PP order:

Cigar Street, Shared Belief, Zivo, Tonalist, California Chrome.

Horses/payoffs that are overlays, in PP order:

Imperative, Bayern, Toast of New York, Majestic Harbor

Horses/payoffs that seem 'just about right' based on the payoff and my opinion of their chances:

Moreno, V.E. Day, Candy Boy.

Alive with $25 DD with Bayern; $10 DD with Toast of New York; $6 DD with Imperative and Majestic Harbor, and, $2 DD with Cali Chrome, V.E. Day and Tonalist.

Against conventional thinking and possibly exhibiting zero common sense ... I am keying Bayern at what might be a square price this afternoon. I'll never forget his sensational effort at Belmont in the Woody Stephens and his Monmouth and Parx blowouts.

I don't buy the 'track/inside/lone speed bias' talk from the media. Bayern made those tracks look fast. Bayern was the bias, not those racetracks!

Win, lose or draw I'd rather bet Bayern at 4-1 or 6-1 (and to me he's a great price) as opposed to the probable lower win odds expected for Shared Belief, Tonalist, Cali Chrome and especially Cigar Street.

Good luck, every one.

Thanks for posting the payoffs, KingChas.

For those keeping score at home, those double pay-offs translate:

Shr Blf 2-1
Chrome 4-1
Tonlst 5-1
Byern 8-1
Cigar 11-1
Zivo 11-1
Toast 20-1
Candy 25-1
V.E. 25-1
Moreno 30-1
Majstc 50-1
Pryer 50-1
Imprtv 100-1
Foot 100-1

Using the double will-pays from Toronado yield substantially the same projected odds. Chrome slips from 4-1 to 6-1. Tonalist dips to 4-1, and Bayern dips to 6-1.

Moreno still somewhere between 25-1 & 30-1, which seems a fat considering his record and rider.
