Exactly , I don’t ever bet that track but others do it too . It’s just an invitation for problems plain and simple . I doubt it would ever be a Jockey’s idea that’s for sure . Somehow people that don’t ride horses in a race have come to the conclusion that it’s easy . It’s the same with every professional sport . You hear the “experts “ and “critics” point out every mistake professional athletes make .
1. They are still human beings . So, mistakes are inevitable.
2. In the spirit of a race they are trying to keep their mount and their own asses in one piece and win at the same time . Not easy !
So the track will just add another thing for them to think about and contend with .
