It's been awhile, but if my memory is correct isn't one of the Quickhorse formulas The Sartin method? I know there are several others and it can be tuned . But is it possible to use the Sartin Method as a stand alone?

HSH is highly customizable and a different user would probably come up with different picks. I am using the same algorithm that sparked lively debate last year. http://www.paceadvantage.com/forum/s...d.php?t=122396

We'll see if it works again.

Had top Late pace number and I was testing out a very limited factor set.

Handi

After looking at my screen I should have had the 5 in the 3rd spot.

Since Rod hasn't posted this, I will. This shot comes from his post on my forum, well before the Derby. This rating was the "special effects" I alluded to in my earlier post in this thread. It was available for all member of my forum, whether or not they use the Black Box or not. I put the ratings in my copy of the Black Box, strictly for the this Derby, but it will not be included for further distribution without Rod's permission, of course. Although the rating's formulas were revealed in that same thread, so it was publicly available to anyone who read the thread.

The red highlighted ratings were the top level qualifiers for win contention. The green ratings were the 2nd level of contention and the yellow were the 3rd level of contention. Only Gun Runner, in the superfecta, did not make it into the top level of contenders.

Of course, I, like some others, thought that Nyquist peaked in his last race and would likely regress off of that top. I didn't have him until the show line, and didn't have Gun Runner on the place line either, he was only on the 4th line of my ticket.
