Some thoughts on the midterms.

The obvious one is there was no red wave; barely a red trickle.

Florida is definitely a red state.

Stacy Abrams is the most overhyped Democrat ever, with Beto O’Rourke close behind. Abrams lost to Kemp by 1.5% in 2018. This time she lost by 7%.

JD Vance was the only Trump backed Senate candidate to win.

Lee Zeldin Bwahahahahahaha.

Josh Shapiro is a rising star in the Democratic Party, as are JB Pritzker and Cheri Beasley.

Democrats gained Governorships in Maryland and Massachusetts.

ETA: Lauren Boebert lost.

Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy elections.

People are willing to eat Chef Boyardee.

People are willing to be forced to buy electric cars.

Mental illness is far more prevelent than we thought.

People deserve to freeze this winter.

The Big winners are those with stocks in oil (and gas)

Never thought I'd say THANK YOU, JOE BIDEN. Yet, here I am.

Enjoy those oppressive heating bills, Pennsylvania. You voted for it, not me

Willing to pay $5-6.00 a gallon for gas.

Willing to be subjugated byGovernment Doctors who prove to be tyrants.

Willing to allow government to close businesses with no supporting data.

It’s amazing and our forefathers are rolling in their graves

If our FF were alive today, they would migrate to Mexico and start over.

Massachusetts passed a referendum increasing the State incomes tax to 10 percent on anyone earning a million plus. Be an exodus and good luck attracting pro athletes /keeping them after contracts expire.

Pritzer (D-Ill) will beat DeSanta (R-FL) in 2024. His FDR rhetoric will win it.

Where do you get the best internet election coverage? I keep seeing all the predicting calling all but 4 senate seats, yet with their color coding showing only 3 seats undecided. Of which Republicans would need all 3 to get to 51.

As for the results so far color me 100% in a state of shock. I cannot believe governors that locked downed their states for Covid and had a big hand in destroying the economy easily won re-election, like Newsome and Hochul.

I have two takes, Trump needs to go away, and Republicans need to drop or at least soften their anti abortion stance. There are a lot of pro choice Republicans, including myself. It is one of those issues where you have a lot of people against the party platform, just like Democrats and their gun control. I think Democrats own as many guns as Republicans.

I just heard on Fox repbs have 49, with 3 open, leading in one and Walker getting a re-vote.

Coverage eveywhere I looked was, in a word, pathetic. I turned over to Law&Order reruns, expecting that would the last night we will be seeing any L&O.

All the internet coverage was way behind the TV, and I only have broadcast TV, so my only picks for election coverage were NBC and ABC. It was as biased as the day is long, they kept saying we when speaking about Democrats.

I don't think either will be nominated by their parties.
