We should not be proud of Dresden or Tokyo or Nagasaki or Hiroshima or what we did to the American Indian or many other peoples.
Americans are vindictive. And we do not care that we are vindictive.
You would hope that other cultures around the world would finally pick up on this? Messing with America is a certain road to regret.
And maybe that's the message our leaders are going for?

Those acts were not vindictive so the very premise of your statement is false. Try reading more history books. In particular, Nagasaki and Hiroshima were to lessen the bloodshed overall on both sides. The only reason Nagasaki was hit was because Imperial Japan refused peace.

I have traveled the world many times in my younger days, and one thing stands out over everything. The masses were generally good people. They all want peace and to raise a family and hopefully prosper. Common folk everywhere are not bloodthirsty. They are not political. To a person, everyone everywhere agrees that governments are the problem. People do not want wars. Politicians and governments do. No one believes Americans are vindictive and bloodthirsty. Just like no one believes the average Russian is vindictive or bloodthirsty. Or a peasant in China. Only govts are vindictive and bloodthirsty and that is universally known by all.
