BTW....I kinda like how the NYT portrays all of this stuff as if it's somehow been HIDDEN...when in fact it's been in the hands of the IRS...for years...
Thus, if there was something illegal, he would have been busted long ago....like Wesley Snipes for instance...or Al Capone...

Exactly. I would like to congratulate Prez Trump for taking full advantage of the tax loophole that President Obama signed into law. The one that gave Prez Trump a 70 million refund.
I got 6k back in business last year from Feds. Just enough to pay my Texas Franchise tax. Next year with Covid, I’m hoping for 25k refund

No hope for the Trumpies...
Question for all of you congratulating this man.
How the hell is he getting loans?
Its not like he had a stellar record prior... hell, he filed for $1.8 billion with a B in 2004 and $550 mil in 2009.
According to this he's got about billion out there, mostly in balloons, with a lot of it due within the next 3-5.
It's tax fraud or bank fraud... or both.

Without seeing his actual tax records? My vote is fiction.

It’s easy when you own a ton of real estate as collateral.

Not that it would do any good, not your normal tax records. One small view is there were 4 or 5 major big builds in progress inside Africa around January time frame with the Trump Organization being one of them. All of these major builds have or had all of its workers come in from China, all of the money financing these builds also from China. How these projects are right now with Covid-19 I have no idea, what I do know is Trump got paid so they could use his brand and the Trump Organization's exposure is minimal. If those projects lose billions, it is China who carry's all the exposure. The IRS only needs to know the fine points of the deal and how much China paid them for use of the name. Multiply that by hundreds of deals and I would not be surprised if someone from the IRS is assigned to and has an office inside Trump Tower. That is just one country, your guess would be just as good as mine about how many country's the Trump Organization is in.

Undercover Huber
@JohnWHuber
Bombshell NYT story on Trump tax returns shows that he received a $3.5 million wire transfer from a corrupt Russian tied to Vladimir Putin. Oh wait, no, that was Hunter Biden, and the NYT didn't even report it

"'We don't pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes." - Leona Helmsley, 1989, shortly before she was jailed for tax fraud. For those who don't know or don't remember, she was a cohort of Trump on the NY real estate scene until they had a falling out.

I'm starting to believe Trump's rhetoric that he must be the cleanest billionaire/politician ever...all these people digging under every single rock...including the FBI for months and months and months...including Former President OBAMA with the full force of the US GOVT behind him...
And TRUMP is still walking around a free man...gonna tell me they can't touch him because he's POTUS? They could have arrested him during the 2016 campaign...
IMPEACHMENT....nothing...could have been convicted by the Senate if they actually brought something substantial against him...hell, they turned Romney over a nothing burger...imagine if they actually had SOMETHING on Trump?
BUT STILL NOTHING?!?!?!?!?
How is this possible?

That your false king is even worse than we thought?. Might be wise for Joe to ask...
..."Mr President, I and every candidate for high office have released our tax records, will you release yours next week?"

Then there is Al.
Due to the removal of the word "lawful" from the 16th Amendment in 1916, even income earned via illegal activities is subject to tax.8 9 This put criminals like Capone in a bind because they could either admit breaking the law and file proper taxes (essentially confessing), or cheat on taxes and risk getting jailed for evasion. In addition to paying fines and the outstanding tax bill, Capone was sentenced to 11 years in prison.
Maybe if Roy Cohn had not died in 1986, and continued as Trump's personal lawyer, instead of amateur W.Barr, Trump would not be up shit's creek?
Now there was a CPA who new how to use tax laws
Just liked he knew how to help "Gunner" Joe McCarthy.
