Lockdowns Unnecesary! What Else is New?
Coronavirus New York Shock: Two-Thirds Of Recent Patients Infected While Staying At Home
"We were thinking that maybe we were going to find a higher percentage of essential employees who were getting sick because they were going to work — that these may be nurses, doctors, transit workers," Gov. Cuomo said. "That's not the case. They were predominantly at home,"
https://www.ibtimes.com/coronavirus-...g-home-2971776
When was the last time any liberal had a coherent thought process?
I strongly suspected this weeks ago when I mused publicly that it would be very interesting to get the infection stats on workers! Unlike Cuomo and Co. , I'm neither surprised or shocked at this story!

Considering that the "seasonal" flu decreases in warm months mainly due to people spreading further apart while outdoors, this should come as no surprise. That's why I supported Trumps call to stay at home until Easter and then open up. May 1st was unnecessary and counterproductive. It's now become debilitating for many.

Actually, it's eminently more sensible to be outside in open, fresh air rather than be walled in confinement anywhere!
I tell ya, my gut was telling me from the git go that this unprecedented lock down cannot make good sense.

This sorta throws a wrench in the works for leftist governors trying to keep the public locked up and unemployed.

Majority of states have Republican governors and also control the majority of state legislative bodies. Not to mention the POTUS,Senate and Supreme Court.
Nice try.

I just read a quick post about the 1918 flu epidemic. The gist of it was that hospital patients recovered quicker when they took them outside for a few hours a day. Can't cite the details, but it makes sense.

But it's the blue state governors that are implementing fascist-like rules!

IMO, this is a misleading story.
The reason more people catch it at home is because there are generally multiple people living inside a house that come into close contact with each other. So if one person in the house catches it, they will pass it on to other family members even if those others are totally locked down.
If you reduce the number of homes that have it circulating you will reduce the number of cases.
You reduce the number of positive homes by making sure no one inside the house gets it by going out and behaving irresponsibly and then passing it on to 2-3 others inside the same house.
It's coming into those homes somehow and it's not through an open window.
Over and above that, it's probably a good idea to get out, get some exercise, get some vitamin D3 from the sun etc.. if done carefully.
