Nope.
Because that statement doesn't require context, nor apologies, because IMHO, it can stand on its own, in any political system:
make sure that the rescue package for the economy is a rescue for Main Street, not just for Wall Street
What part of that quote do you have a problem with?

In your either/or , black/white worldveiw tucker6, there is no room for subtle distinctions, different tones, etc.
If believing in that quote, and also believing that there is something wrong with a system where 79%+ of all the wealth of a huge nation is held by approximately 3-10% of it's citizens, I'd say that wasn't a real good system.
But you can keep lovin' on bailing out wells fargo, goldman sachs, banks, and multinational billionaire companies.
The PPP was NOT for them. They never had any right to even apply for it.
What party that makes me, I have no idea. Just that I don't agree w/ it. And I'm proud of that.

Damn shame, a power couple with the ability to pivot but their domicile is rooted too close to the Wolf's Lair.

Going after municipalities who have no $$ in the first place won't do you much good. I'm a pragmatist. Where is the continued support?
Its sort of like when you don't want a mega condo project built on your beach destroying whole swatchs of protective sand dunes. Go ahead and sue your municipalities.....while the wealthy developers bring in their gaggle of Philadelphia lawyers, along with their cranes and bulldozers. Which will be digging WHILE your municipality is trying to get a 2nd or 3rd attorney on board, as welll as find money to pay them. LOL
Tell me how that works out.
(Sometimes it's obvious that some people giving advice have not been very active, in a civic way, with the daily ins and outs of their local governments, and their lack of involvement results in them not really understanding how things work. ) It was like the advice to close your biz and just open another biz elsewhere. I guess that works if you have a couple extra hundred thousand in the bank that is just sitting around that you can call discretionary income.
Wish you well ....just look under the right rocks ......those lawyers are not going to get you any money or relief in the way they are going about it.

Do you own a business? Did you get a PPP loan?

Ok.........
I’ve got the option to pivot if I want. In fact lots of discussion on that subject. Btw, my franchise contract expired 2 weeks ago. I’m not locked in at all

I am not you, if it were me I would haul ass to the north east. It does not sound like local political powers that be will ever give you a break or any business near you. Quite frightening really.

Feel for you, Ralph, and I know it's not something to make light of, but look at it this way - you're living the Ivanka Trump dream by finding something new.

Clicknow knows everything. Just ask him/her. Why go through the crucible when you can read about it.

That makes you jealous, not happy with what you already have and want more from others that seem to have it .... you are a socialist but may not be in any party. You would fit in well with the 'peaceful protestors' that just happen to occasionally loot, torch and steal because that is a better system for them.

I love when people squawk about the wealthy. Most of the wealthy were born much poorer but with a drive and determination and intelligence to succeed in whatever their walk of life is. They earned it through a combination of nature and/or nurture. Just like the person working at McD used their drive and determination and intelligence given by nature/nurture to get where they ended up. Are the two scenarios any different in reality? Why rail against God given talents (or without talents) that cannot be changed and which are inherent within us. Both good and bad. Sure, some talented people get swept up in addictions and crime and fall by the wayside and never achieve wealth. The opposite happens too which is why they talk about exceptions to the rule.

Covid19 and how it affected me. Went in the Hospital on 4 /8 for Hypoxia from Covid 19 and released 4/11 to try and fully recover with full time Oxygen at home. Lost 26 pounds in 14 days. Today is 3 months later and I am just now able to function without Oxygen and somewhat close to what I remember Normal was. Yes I am a Geezer with at risk COPD and cancer remission. Surviving this seemed impossible 3 months ago and now just to not be reinfected is a worry. Well it's been real for me. Hope Y'all dont take the same ride.

Correct me if needed, my gut feeling is every 100 years or so something comes along that is especially devastating to people who have smoked for a number of years because their lungs were already damaged from the smoking. Were you a smoker for a number of years?
