streak probability calculator

.....................

this calculator that is linked is from a sports betting site
it figures loss probability - to get win probability the figures just need to be reversed
kind of interesting, to me, anyway

for example:

if one of your favorite bets is a 3 horse exacta box - and your records indicate your box wins 33% of the time...............

then in a 100 bet series 44.725% of such series - you will lose 10 times in a row at some point

if you're real chalky and bet strong faves to show and you win 70% of the time

then in a 500 bet series 50.842% of such series you will win 15 times in a row

variance can be real sweet - or like a bat out of hell
