Mastery to Claiborne

http://www.paulickreport.com/news/bl...on-retirement/

No surprise Claiborne would want to stand a sturdy, durable colt like Mastery. After all, he was able to finish four entire races...and two of them were at the astoundingly great distance of a mile AND a sixteenth.

Just what the gene pool needs!!

Funny thinking back to Danzig, from the early 80's, who is the first of this type I remember, ran only three times due to an injury, but had a useful breeding career. I see he was also a Claiborne stud.

Hard Spun is the last good one I recall from him, he at least made it to 13 races and retired sound. Not sure of the overall soundness of Danzig's offspring though.
