IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Check out the TEAM SIGN-UP thread so you know exactly who is on your team.

2. Communicate with your teammates to arrive at your concensus selections for the contest.

3. Only one post allowed per team. Appoint one player to post on behalf of the entire team. All eight races must be posted at the same time. Please ensure you include your Team Number when posting selections.

4. Coupled entries are considered one betting interest.

5. Once posts are made they may not be changed. (except for normal site editing period)

6. Posts must be made one full minute prior to the official DRF "off time".

7. Teams that fail to post on time will only be scored on races run one full minute after their post.

8. All games this season will be scored as "open competitions" with no Divisional matchups.

9. Two options for posting selections:

3 Selection Method
3 – 7 – 4 (12 – 8) top 3 picks with the alternates being 12 & 8 in that order. Team would receive $6.00 payouts for #3; $4.00 payouts for #7; and $2.00 payouts for #4 for Win/Place/Show (assuming no scratches)
Team would receive $3.00 Exacta Box Payout using #3, #7 & #4

2 Selection Method
3 – 3 – 7 (4 – 12) top 2 picks with the alternates being 4 & 12 in that order.
Team would receive $6.00 payouts for #3; $4.00 payouts for #3; and $2.00 payouts for #7 for Win/Place/Show (assuming no scratches)

A good time to re-post the Playoff parameters and bonus points. Top 16 teams make the A Playoffs. The balance of the teams make the B Playoffs. Bonus Points are earned depending on the number of teams you beat. FULL DETAILS BELOW

8. PLAYOFFS / FINAL ROUNDS

-- At the completion of the regular season, teams finishing in the top half of the field (including ties and rounding up, but limited to a maximum of 16 teams) will compete for the main contest prizes. Subject teams will be known as Group A.
-- All teams not making the above field will be known as Group B, who will compete among themselves the same 4 weeks as Group A teams for yet to be announced prizes.
-- All teams will be allowed to participate the entire contest with the following exception. Any team who becomes a no-show during the final week of the REGULAR season, regardless of their standing, will be automated eliminated from further participation. (NOTE: Their total accumulated points will still remain in effect only for determination of which teams qualify for which group and determination of any bonus points.).
-- To reward regular season performance, the top 8 teams in both Group A and Group B will receive bonus points to begin their final 4-day contest play. Bonus points will be equal the number of teams in your group that you beat times 50%. Example: In Group A with 16 teams, the top seed gets 15 x 0.50 = 7.5 bonus points. The second seed gets 14 x 0.50 = 7.0, ..... The eighth seed gets 8 x 0.50 = 4.0. An exception will be made with Group B teams, where the bonus will be the number of teams beaten (maximum of 15) x 50%.

Only two stakes races on the menu this week, so for those who enjoy a less glittery slate of contest races, this might be your week. Then again, if you like sprint races on the dirt, you're going to hate me...as there is only one of those.

In addition, I whittled the track count down to three this week, for those who don't like it when there are 6 or more tracks covered on an eight race card.
