Secretar...err...Rangitoto

Anybody check out the performance by Rangitoto at Parx on Sunday?

He won by 23 lengths first off the claim on a rise in class for a 3% trainer.

Thoughts?

Thanks for posting, CJ.

Since Belmont I've been waiting for another Secretar..... err... Rangitoto.
Fast track, 1 mile. And the comment, "Drew away in hand"

The other comments are interesting. "Stumbled start", "Inside tired", "Showed nothing".

A one time coincidence of being above class in that race or is he the new superhorse?

Just watched the video.

Under 3 Furlongs and he really turned it on, although he lead wire to wire.

Interesting. I want to see him run again.

Liked the footnote:

"displaying vast improvement after the claim and a significant jump in class..."

Tell it like it is chartcaller....

Looks like weak field to me. Three pups off 98 or more days...the horses who ran 1-2 were the figure horses. I woulda bet the 3rd finisher at 15-1 so I saved

He had the correct "dosage" for this race.

Entered Parx Race 9 Tuesday. Back in 8 days.
Jockey Pablo Fragoso who was aboard for the 23 length romp loses the mount.

Well, he won again while practically walking across the finish line. Dominating win at 5-2.
