I got into jazz during the 60s-70s TV shows, Johnny Carson, Dean Martin, and others. Still love this one.

I guess my favorite would be what I believe is the best selling jazz album of all time, Miles Davis 1959 Kind of Blue. Seven of the greatest jazz musicians, all in their prime, came together to record it. Five different songs, all of which are wonderful. My favorites are So What, Freddie Freeloader, and of course, All Blues.

OF course my favorite classical composer would have to be Rossini!
(Also, a top 10 driving tune, especially in rush hour traffic!)

Autumn Leaves

Two versions sung by people meant to sing it, and two instrumentals played by people meant to play it. The Chet Baker version may be the single best recording of any song at any time -- no hyperbole meant, really; it's truly tremendous!
