3 Horses you'll play in the Place slot

Pretty confident on who I will play on top of most of my tickets (Nyquist & Exaggerator). Now trying to figure out who to play underneath them. What 3 horses are you most confident in, on the bottom of your exacta's?

If you like those two on top, then play Exactas with all the longest shots for 2nd

I'll have Nyquist and Exaggerator underneath, not on top..Brody underneath as well, but may have a little on him in the win spot.

For bombers, I will likely have Trojan Nation and Tom's Ready in the place spot on some of my exotics. Trojan Nation is the most logical 50-1 I've seen in the race and I might even throw a few bucks on top for entertainment. Tom's Ready is a sufficiently bred Dallas Stewart special. I'm likely to have Exaggerator and Nyquist in that spot as well. Waiting for the draw before I get cute. I will be less likely to use any horse from the 1 or 20 hole.

Danzing can hang for 2nd or 3rd with right pace set up. Key Nyq in 3rd with Mor Spirit.

Exaggerator is the fastest in the field and with correctly timed ride should win.

Creator looks tough on the track and made me love him in the win slot.

Gun Runner will be all set after Monday and will be cocked for his best shot next Saturday.

My Man Sam in my opinion doesn't want to be held and will surprise how close he will be to the pace if allowed to run his race. Many hate the way he looks on track this last week. I love it, he is fired up and wants to go.

With a week to go and not including those I think are the best win candidates, Gun Runner, Suddenbreakingnews, and Majesto are looking like some of the better underneath options to me.

In this field if you really like someone on top just hit the all button or put every 15 or higher second.

Yup, good strategy. Last year with the top favorites coming in, a $2 exacta paid $72, a $20 exacta with 17 horses under AP would cost $340, & you collect $720, & that's with the lowest exacta in a long time.

The favorite Chrome on top of 18 horses, $20 exacta cost $360, payoff was $340 exacta & you receive $3,400, & that's with the favorite on top.


If a 10-1 or higher rolls in to win & a 25-1 or higher 2nd, you get paid big.
