Well. It didn't. It gave the perfunctory light of 15 minutes. Then, the light was gone. Off to Coolmore.
There's a reason FS1 isn't airing horse racing. Like other networks, they know that we will never capture what once was. We're in a different era now, a different century. We're run by men still living in the past.
.. I've always had hope, yet, now? I have less than ever before.

yep, it's funny. This last year I watched Bike racing , tour de France, Italy etc . On NBC sports I think? Never did it before , It was a blast!, I got to see the small towns and countryside. who would have thought?
And there is this guy who had a dream about doing a food show and whatever added goofy stuff from various spots around the world. Now it's CNN best show.

We got Bobby Flay. But, even with his fine cooking skills, he didn't help our ratings a whole lot.

Nothing has.

The "intent" is never enough. It needs to be accompanied by serious ACTION.
Some of those casino profits would be better served if they were used to fund some "serious" on-track tournaments for the fans.

In business, marketing can only succeed at it's core. Horse racing's core is awaiting admission to their nursing homes of choice. They're just rolled out and propped up for board meetings.

Tom, you've seen the inside of Big A's new Horsemen's Lounge overlooking the paddock? There's plenty of room for all of this but you still have to rely on the SAMS for now.

Finally got around to binge watching Luck on Amazon prime.
1. Dustin Hoffman is a shitty actor in his old age. I’m biased, I’ve had personal dealings with the prick when I lived in SoCal.
2. Dennis Farina was wasted in the role.
3. The crew of handicappers stole the show from the so called leads. The guy in the wheelchair was brilliant
4. Richard Kind as the agent was a weird casting choice.
I give it a B- with tons of unrealized potential

Totally.
Is Hovdey gonna try to get this re-done on a reprise series?
