Herrera is doing his best Coburn impression. "Holland did nothing", "Everybody was against Mexico during this World Cup." Bad losers never look good.
Looks like De Jong is out for the rest of the tournament. The player famous for his karate kick in the last WC final. Will be tough for Holland without their enforcer. Maybe not so much in the quarter finals, but after that. He gave them the balance in midfield.

I have to disagree. I've watched Dempsey for years and he gets a C- in diving in my book. Jones gets a strong B+ . Robben gets an A+++. He's built like a tank but falls over like Iverson getting hit by Shaq.

Robben built like a tank? Come on man he's 5-11 and weighs 170lbs.

Just for the record. Moreno, who tackled Robben in the box in the first half, when no pk was given, broke his leg with that action. Too bad for him, but nobody could possibly suggest there was no serious contact. As clear a pk as I've seen.

Yes" but he has a stocky build compared to the majority of mexican players. I give him credit, he's a master. It's amazing how he absorbs contact when needed and falls down like a new born calf other times.

I'm not going to go through "diving skills" player by player.
I agree that Dempsey has a propensity to carry on through contact,
and get on with the game. He is not beyond going down in the box, though.
Let me ask you this.
Put Dempsey in Robben's boots earlier today.
Would you think less of him had he been awarded a game-winning PK?

This thread has overheated, so I'm declaring a 3 minute hydration break.

I changed my mind. Greece can't win it in the penalties. The other goalkeeper is too good.
