Any thoughts on OSU feeling more like they "won something" than Oregon did today?

Best early line I could find has the Ducks a 6 1/2 point favorite, although that is expected to change a bit as the books take a longer look.

They have a committee of alleged experts. They rank the top teams from week to week, and at the end of the season, the top four in the rankings go to the play-offs. The #1 plays the #4 and the #2 plays the #3.

I get it. So, they essentially "hand picked" Alabama vs Oregon for the "Title game" and bama let them down.
They really don' tneed experts, just go on the Vegas spread, let Vegas rank the teams, the team who would be the favorite vs all other teams is #1, the team who would be favored vs everyone else except the #1 team, is #2 and so on and so forth.
How hard would that be?

The guys on the post game show said its 7, but if you can get 6.5 i'd grab that asap......i have to imagine that if you want Oregon, you get on this now, zero chance the spread is going to go lower and it can actually go much higher, get on Oregon now if you like them.

After watching Ole Miss and Miss St in their bowl games, you had to be wondering just how good Alabama and the SEC was this year. Donald Duck exposed Fla St which surprised no one outside of the state of Florida. I think the Ducks beat OSU. They just look like the better team.

Sparty had two losses this year. Oregon and the Buckeyes. Decent resume. Should they be ranked number 3 at seasons end?

The SEC West went 2-5 in their bowls this season, the only wins coming over middlin' Big 12 teams. The SEC East is holding serve, but because they're all so average, all they got were mostly minor bowls bids anyway. Maybe it's time for the pre-season pollsters to start making these teams earn their places in the rankings instead of having it handed to them.

How can any team really have earned anything for the preseason polls? And while anti-SEC mania is all the rage now, the fact is that the SEC won 7 championships in a row, came within a whisker of winning an eighth straight last year, and did well in its early games outside of its conference this season. So hardly a surprise that those teams were ranked highly before the bowls.
Here were the BCS bowl records for each conference:
SEC 17-10
Pac 13-8
B10 13-15
B12 10-12
ACC 5-13
So, what other conference had "earned" anything more than the SEC?

I truly appreciate the team that TCU has fielded this year. They are never in the RIVAL.COM top 20 recruiting but always come to play. While I do not disagree with the top 4 playoff teams this year, this TCU squad could line up against any of them with a reasonable chance for victory. As an LSU fan, I am soooo glad we played them last year instead of this year. The 2014 TCU team is special.

I'm not really an Oregon fan because I live in the town where Oregon State University is - in fact it's probably half the town's population - but I will have to reluctantly root for the Ducks.
Since I lived in Cleveland I've liked Ohio State too.

Mike and Mike (i know ) said that if Ohio State wins, its the greatest coaching job in history.
To me, and from what they discussed, there's a LOT of injuries they're dealing with.
If you need a "great coaching job" to win., doesn't that mean you essentially don't have the better players?
