Yes, there's been nurses and docs who have certainly been drug users. Having multiple personnel in every procedure room, is important. You have many sets of eyes.
30 years ago I had one experience where a doctor asked me some rather *dubious* questions while he was examining me. I also had one (recently!) who seemed more interested in my private / social life than he should have been? I'm very adept at swiftly dealing with them in an appropriate and immediate manner, because I know how. But I do feel sorry for people who may not be able to engage in self protection like I am.......I'm sure it can be very traumatizing.
So yes, I now understand your initial comment better.
People are crazy.

30 years ago or so I dated the Director of Physical Therapy for (at the time) the 2nd largest hospital in Dallas. She had tale after tale of Dr's that simply broke down from stress and other life's boobie traps. Gambling was one. Some of them just couldn't handle the stress of the job or their lifestyles. Pain killers, drugs, alcohol, one was found @ the intersection on Mockingbird and Skillman disheveled and drinking mouthwash. Pretty sad

I love these "I knew someone who knew someone" anecdotals.
% wise, mostl likely quite small. Ditto, the drug user and robber ones ralf talked about.
Of course it exists. This is human beings we're talking about.
Won't keep me from seeking medical care at all.
I remember when Wall Streeters were a pretty huge group of druggies. There are highly *functional* people, esp. junkies as long as they are getting their fix, who are very good at what they do.

Hey Kabong, here is your chance to get past your pandemic denial. I know it is not El Paso, but as I said.......
North Dakota Hits Highest COVID-19 Mortality Rate In The World
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/dakot...b6a46646702d74
North Dakota had the highest COVID-19 mortality rate of any other state or even any other country in the world last week, according to a shocking analysis by the Federation of American Scientists.
South Dakota ranked third-worst in the world.
Both states also have the lowest rates of face mask use in the nation.
The rates are what health experts would expect in a war-torn nation — but not in the U.S., the scientists said.
“How could we allow this in the United States to happen?” Dr. Ali Mokdad, a health professor at the University of Washington in Seattle, told USA Today. “This is unacceptable.”

Thoughts from a poster on another board:
None other than Fauci told the Association of Virologists that PCR tests over 35 replication cycles are invalid. They are not possibly measuring live virus. Those are his words. In the US, labs run 37-40 replication cycles. This rate produces over 90% false positives. When you do 50% more testing, and you are producing 90% false positives, and you are able to detect viral remnants for over 100 days, then you will have an increasing positivity rate. The people testing positive are people who were exposed months ago and no longer infected, or contagious.
The entire "second wave" is created by bad testing. And what does the CDC tell us to do? Get more testing. The way to stop the "surge" is to refuse to be tested. If you do not have symptoms, then definitely do not take the test. But people are rushing to be tested for absolutely no reason, except fear. The stupidity of the masses is creating the foundation for their own loss of Liberty.
The CDC is also reporting almost zero influenza cases despite flu season starting over a month ago. Why? According to the CDC very few doctors are performing influenza testing. Everything is Covid. They are testing people with the cold for Covid and receiving a positive test back. As the CDC admits, "A positive PCR test result does not mean the subject is infected with SARS-CoV-2. They may be infected with other coronaviruses (including the one that causes the common cold) or even bacteria."
The CDC and FDA admit the tests do not say positive tests are due to Covid.
