Yonkers International Trot

It looks like a potential fast pace in the International Trot at Yonkers this afternoon. The mares may have the edge. My picks:

2 Bahia Quesnot
4 Uza Josselyn
3 Atlanta
5 Zacon Gio

Good Morning Bob!

Does look like it could be fast depending on how aggressive the drivers are early.

My selections:

3 Atlanta
6 Marion Marauder
4 Uza Josselun
9 Guardian Angel As

Best of Luck!

Shame really

Purses: $1,512,400
Total handle: $870,939

Three of Yonkers’ four cards this week didn’t crack 500k in handle. The product is boring and the fans have no interest in it. It’s only a matter of time before Yonkers racing disappears IMO.

Don't worry, it's not going anywhere.
Most nights the handle covers the purse's easily.
It's a racino can't have the casino without the Harness.

Note: Atlanta wins if race is a Mile distance.

At no point does Yonkers handle ever cover the purses. Most nights the handle may cover one or two races purses.

90 percent of their handle is offtrack. So lets say they did 55k of handle on track. They would make around 11k assuming a 20 percent blended takeout. The 400k simulcast generated 12k in revenue to Yonkers. So for the 455k total handle Yonkers generated around 23k in income to cover 162k in purses. They would need to have around a 600 percent increase in total handle to get to zero for the day. I assure you I know exactly what I am talking about.

The day they decouple the slots from the racing will be the last day of racing at Yonkers and most harness tracks.
