Tioga Sunday Program...$10k Pick 6...and...
...a really good card.
$279k Empire Breeders Classic 3YO Filly Pace featuring the undefeated
See You At Peelers
$289k Empire Breeders Classic 3YO Colt Pace
We've got Canada and Illinois in the pools for the whole card and California for races 5-10, so they'll be betting into the Pick 6.
Plenty fo action...tune in.

Just curious
I saw that the Pick-6 was hit last week. How big of a hit did the track take to make up that guarentee pool of 10k? I am assuming the payout was the pool of 10k with the retention deducted.
Also a stupid question (that all of these tracks with the Guarenntee Pools) I have regarding the payouts. Does the track itself also pay the state taxes and purse contributions on that pool as if there was 10k wagered or do they just pay the taxes and purse contributions on the actual money that is wagered?
Inquiring minds like to know these things.
Thank you for any info you can provide.

To Tioga Team
What happens in the event that one of your selections in the Pick-6 gets scratched after the first race of that pick-6 goes off?
i.e. Race 8 tonight was just announced that #1 was out in the 8th and the first two legs are all ready contested.
If it be not to much of a problem, you could please respond to my earlier inquiry regarding the Pick-6 Pool? If not, guess I have to seek it elsewhere.

Suggestion to the tioga team
I noticed a banner during the video showing of the race on the video streaming. It states the following:
WE TAKE LESS SO YOU CAN BET MORE
I am not privy to the person who thought this up in the marketing section of your business but it appears to have the "Brain Dead Slot Gamblers" at its audience instead of the gamblers. Change one word to make it appealing to us who risk out money on drives that can be considered questionable at best.
WE TAKE LESS SO YOU CAN WIN MORE.
I really am no longer surprise as what is considered good managment and marketing policies in the harness industry but I did not expect to see this at what I consider to be the best marketing machine in the industry.

Thanks Ray...based on those figures they had about a 3k carryover going in and with that 3,500 bet, another 3k so their exposure was about a grand....this past week might of cost them the same based on the estimated handle of 5k if the progression continued. It might not be long before the carryover of one day makes them out of the red and into the black. Not too shabby.

To Ray
Twinspire posted the probables last night of the Pick-6. THey posted 260 for a buck ticket on their site but the payoffs came back over 400,,,wonder if the probables are based on actual money wagered and the bonus does not kick in until it goes official? See attachement.

I stand corrected. The Pick-6 has been hit the last three weeks straight. After a year with a lower guarentee that produced only one winner, two weeks before meet's end. What is a few thousand a week if the pool gets larger each week? Do believe they are on the right track with this one.
